Become an Allied Organization. The AiCPG Clearinghouse is the only Guideline Clearinghouse designed to support the work of Guideline Developers with Guideline Developer oversight. We invite volunteers who fulfill the oversight function.
Must be a medical specialty association or relevant professional association.
Must produce clinical practice guideline and “best practice” expert consensus statement containing systematically developed statements that include recommendations, strategies, or information that help physicians and/or other healthcare practitioners and patients to make decisions about appropriate health care decisions for specific clinical circumstances.
Must offer a volunteer(s) to review requests for assistance regarding the Society’s guideline information. AiCPG often works directly with a staff contact or knowledgeable experts to receive a response. AiCPG and the Society determine a simple, clear process for reasonable accessibility and scheduling.
Must designate a volunteer to serve on the Alliance Oversight Committee
Our Organization
The AiCPG includes two main governing bodies – the Board of Directors and the Alliance Oversight Committee. There is no cost to Guideline Developers to participate.
The Board of Directors is responsible for Strategic Decision Making. The BoarThe Board of Directors is comprised of between 3-9 individuals and emphasizes individuals with clinical and medical informatics experience.
The Alliance Oversight Committee is responsible for Tactical, Operational, and Management Decision-Making. The Committee is comprised of 5-9 representatives from participating Guideline Developers. This Committee can create taskforces to address specific topics pertaining to the on-going improvements to the Clearinghouse. The Chair, Taskforce will present their findings (including any recommendations) to The Alliance Oversight Committee.
